Dr Arianayagam is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Australian School for Advanced Medicine at Macquarie University.
He runs regular teaching sessions with the medical students at the Nepean Clinical School of the University of Sydney and is also involved in teaching students during their practical sessions when they rotate through the urology service at Nepean Hospital.
The Department of Urology at Nepean Hospital has been accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Urological society of Australia and New Zealand as a training post in urological surgery. All six consultant surgeons take a very active role in supervising and training to ensure the highest standard of care and excellent teaching for registrars rotating through the unit. At this time the department has one registrar in the final year of training as well as a fellow who is doing their last year of training having passed the final examination in Urology.
